The Faun...

Hello friends! Today I have the pleasure of showing you the second art piece submitted for the group art show: Whimsical Tales of the Sugardrop Forest at Slushbox Gallery opening this Saturday.
Let me introduce to you....
The Faun

He is an unnamed, wild baby faun/ bat hybrid who lives with the gypsies deep into the forest.

This super fun piece was made out felt and fur, stuffed with polyfill and made his hoofs and horns with clay.

Felted hair, safety eyes and embroidered face to make him as adorable as can be.

With bead embroidered wings, matching collars and plenty of glitter.

His colorful harp was made with popsicle sticks, yay!! I composed the wooden base stand, stained it and embellished it with two different types of moss, miniature mushrooms and made some felt and wired leaves for added pops of color. Look at the close ups.

This piece was truly fun to make and am very proud of it overall.
So, if you are local and can make this fantastic yummy show, GO! it will be fabulous. If you can't keep posted on social media for the opening photos by following the hashtag #whimsicaltalesofthesugardropforest Also, the gallery will post the pieces on their website for purchase after opening night.
But do tell and share your thought on the piece.
Thanks!
