Christmas DIY Decor...

Hi friends, today I wanted to share the fun holiday DIY's I've made for my home. With all the happenings the house is currently in a state of chaos, that is why I opted not to get my Christmas decor out, but if you've been following me for awhile you well know I love to decorate for Christmas; here are some of the past decorations by years recorded here 2016, 2015, 2014

I did a walk through via Instagram which is saved in stories, but here are the goodies made:
 bottle brush tree wreath

Made with a grapevine wreath and a pack of the bottle brush tree multi pack I got at Walmart for approx. $7-8. Just removed the bottom part and glued as simple as that.

rustic nutcracker

made with one of those plain- paint yourself nutcracker at the craft store, I picked this one at Hobby Lobby. Stained it and embroidered a ribbon with the words: "JOY" and placed it as a banner

wood sign set

These 3 frame set; first the metal edge frame from hobby lobby, the background is black with letters amd numbers white glued.  The second at the back all handmade, beadboard painted forrest green, the edges I let the wood natural color, originally was painting it black, but liked the natural look. 3rd is the small one, also all handmade; painted the edges white and decoupage plaid napkins to six-part. The wooden letters and small tree were painted with the same forrest green color with the star on top white.

ticky candy canes

for these I used some left over ticky ribbon I had on my stash and wrapped it over dollar tree plastic candy cane ornaments.

spindle tree

this was a little fun project,  I purchased a lot of small spindles in different sizes, drilled a tiny hole in the middle and passed a wire stuck on a thick 2x4 base. I conditioned the wood and sealed it.

display raiser

this is not a "Christmas" piece but, look how nice it incorporates with the Christmas stuff. this super easy diy is an old paperback and I just folded the pages I. half. I did remove the cover cardstock and cut the book in half with a saw, but it can be left whole for a taller stand, just love this idea.

mini trees

I saw this on an account I follow on Instagram,  but unfortunately can't remember who. But these are a pack of the tiny bottle brush trees, just removed the base and squeezed the wire on top of the dowels. Just to be used as seen, and what a fun idea it is, and who likes the little vintage Frosty thermo??

plaid trees

for this I did a little throw back to my second year at MsBittyKnacks.  Simple triangle fabric sewed, stuffed with polyfill, used vintage spools as the base which I got on VMD last month.

plaid candle

this was a super cool project learned at a craft party with the Shabby Tree. Used plaid napkin amd with a tiny iron I have I "ironed " it to the candle and it sticks to it, just incredible. it's a must try craft for sure.

well, there you have it, this year's home Christmas DIY decorations, hope it inspires you to make some. But first,  which is your favorite??
