Sew Nerdy

I actually have a piece currently exhibiting at Bear and Bird Gallery upstairs at Tate's Comics. The show is called Sew Nerdy and opened on April 26, unfortunately I missed opening night because I was in Puerto Rico for my birthday + visiting my parents

but it inspired me to get my whimsy on and my mind was going everywhere. I wanted to have fun and the piece I ended settling on was Emmet from the Lego Movie, due to the hilarious nature of the character, I just love his charisma and optimism.

   

yep, optimism! Made Emmet out of embroidered felt, over a wood plaque with actual lego. The 3-D sign are glued legos painted with the inspirational saying which is painted chip board. Like I said fun piece. Here is a photo of the exhibit
