one morning as i was leaving the house to go to the day job, i noticed one of my neighbors threw out a wooden stool, i noticed there was a small crack on the wood but in overall it was a solid base and i took it for an idea that had been brewing...
it started thanks to the construction...
since there was no place to eat, the bf and i hauled in our small patio table and set it up in the kitchen and we got used to the "patio/ outdoor cafe style thingy" and since we were making weekly trips to either home depot, i had seen a wooden round top table that would work perfectly so i started...
i removed the top, sanded the piece, were the crack was i used wood glue
reinforced with some plywood and filled all the wood imperfections with filler
i attached the top, applied 2 coats of primer (i used the kilz oil based), 3 coats of black paint (satin), sanded in-between all coats, finished with the wipe on Poly, got to foldable ikea chairs and....
tadaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it even got a holiday decoration n the bf loves it!!
just the place for a cup of joe....
