Happy Monday dear friends!
Today I am happy to share my first ever baby quilt. If you all remeber a few month's back I share that my baby sister is pregnant and I have gone crazy aunt mode and have been making goodies for my future nephew. One of the first thing I knew I wanted to make was a baby quilt; it's a very personal gift and do hope my sister can keep it, of course like any first time mom to be she had no idea what color scheme or style to go with so I went with my preference.
Another thing to note is that I've never done such a big piece, I've only dabbed with mini decorative quilts, so I was a bit intimidated and took my time with it, used the most basic stitches and techniques but I must say I am proud, so check it out....
I saw this fabric and just knew I had to do a blanket with it
Did a very simple square blocks with 3 fabric choices: bear, stars and the adventure.
Here is the front....
here is the back, closed the edge with basic bias tape.
So, please do share your thoughts. I did a second one and will share all the details next week.
