Topiary DIY...

Hello friends,
Today I wanted to share a simple DIY.
For my home decor during this time of year my usual floral decor consists of green eucalyptus, I always have some, just love it. Some cotton, which this year I gave a break, and lavender, my second favorite. I mostly have real dry florals,  but on certain spots around the house use the faux. Well, I love topiary and wanted to incorporate some for this year's decor, but they are so costly at the store, I decided to make my own.
Materials: the only thing I had to purchase was the faux lavender, yes am doing a lavender topiary 😃
Got it at Hobby Lobby 50% off $3.99 got 4 so $7.98

The rest of the materials I had:
foam balls, wooden dowel, moss, natural twine, pot,
glue gun, pliers

Here we go:
stick dowel to mid of foam ball and add some glue for stability.
cut up the lavender and separate...

the lavender long pieces with the large leafs and the little lavender pieces with the little.

I started sticking the pieces and quickly realized some moss was needed to cover the foam, so got them off, applied some moss and then started sticking the pieces. I did row lavender, row small ones alternating and spreading them out.

The bottom just have the little ones spread out so the moss can be really visible and here it is

I covered the dowel with twine.

I then stuck a piece of foam into the pot, I added some extra on top to make the piece solid so it won't move.

some more moss on top and...

tadaaahhhhhhh......

I personally think it came out great!!

and yes, that's herbarium style frame with lavender,  my favorite 💜 💜

so what do you all think??
