hello friends!
Sorry, for the delayed post, just have been enjoying some time off the day job and have been at it, at the crafty table. Since I was forced to take some time off or risk loosing my vacation time, decided on a road trip to Mount Dora for Renningers Antique Extravaganza and as you can see... Scrapy was excited.
We rented an Airbnb... let me just say the photos did more justice to the place than anything. The place was run down and the owner was staying at a trailer next door, so no privacy.
but we made the best of it for sure.
The day we arrived and went to the downtown area there was a Scottish festival and it was fun!!! Got so distracted with the men in kilts that the only photos I have are from the video I shared that day on IG
Tried to convince the hubby to get one, but lost that battle quickly, lol 😆
We ended going on the last day and was disappointed that not even midday and many sellers were closing shop. The only good thing, many were doing 50% off and more.
ok, I fell in love with this little cabinet, but since the rental was tiny, it had to stay ðŸ˜
The hubby loved the bike...
We then went to an antique mall, of course everything was double the prices we had seen at the show. But omg!!! I saw this and childhood memories kicked in high gear; my grandmother used to have a doll just like it which I used to love playing with, I used to call her La Española.
loved the doll house!
I look like a dork with the stupid mask... on a positive note it was nice and chilly and was able to wear some winter clothing, yay!!!
Had lots of fun, but did behave and the ones that came home are...
this little kokeshi doll, it's actually signed
now with her new family... just love my growing collection.
Got these little ones for crafting.
This for my table centerpiece, got to get some spring stuff from storage to do the tablescape I have in mind, the hubby got it for $10, talk about a great deal!!
Lastly, maybe couldn't bring the cabinet shown above but got this set of shutter doors and will be building my own, yay!!! I'll do it as a DIY and promise to photograph the process.
The last day we saw some properties and left; had a great time, just wish it would have been a longer stay.
Will be catching up with the to-do list, of course lots of crafting too so until next time friends.
