1/7/17

hello 2017!

happy new year once again to all fans, friends and family that follow the blog.
as many of you may know, i took a small holiday, had a fantastic time! still sorting through all the photos to make a proper post.
however
i've been of course putting away all the holiday decor, organizing, and being good about this year's goals....aspirations...plans, whatever you want to call them, i mean is day 7, haha! this year, i've decided that i needed a bit more attention and decided i wanted to be out and explore a bit more. of course that means MsBittyKnacks production will be a bit calmer/ slow and exclusive; aka. will be making less whimsies and doing less shows. i still have to figure the logistics on how to balance it all, but i do need to do this.
meanwhile, as i was sorting through the emails and such today i just found MsBitty was mentioned in the holiday list of the winter issue of Art Hive Magazine how cool is that!!!

Featuring Wendi McLendon-Covey, star of the hit ABC television show, The Goldbergs. Also featuring Rich Williams from the legendary band, KANSAS. Artist grants, submissions, and more!
ART HIVE MAGAZINE /// #20 /// WINTER 2016

so very happy n proud!

at the moment, am still working on home projects that i've procrastinated long enough, but will make a valentine whimsies and got some vintage planters to make some adorable pincushions.
also,
have been saddened about the tragic incident in Ft. Lauderdale; even closer to home, just to think i was at that airport 4 days prior. my thoughts, hearts and prayers go out to the victims families and to the family of the young man who committed the crime. with this i want to just say, people we need to calmly be able to handle our differences, to spread love and peace. i recently read a post written by Chip from the show fixer upper,  which I love and just love when he wrote:

Our family wants to fight for a world that knows how to lovingly disagree. We believe it starts when we operate from a position of love in all things. If your position only extends love to the people who agree with you, we want to respectfully challenge that position. We propose operating with a love so real and true that you are willing to roll up your sleeves and work alongside the very people that are most unlike you. Fear dissolves in close proximity. Our stereotypes and vain imaginations fall away when we labor side by side. This is how a house gets unified. Think about it for a minute:  This could be one of the greatest restoration stories of all time. Who’s ready to get to work? "

really do recommend the whole passage which is very inspiring, but really it all boils down to LOVE like the Dalai Lama constantly repeats and says. so with the thought i leave you till the next one.

Maria
