labor day adventure...

hello, hello!!
as you may have imagined, i have been consumed prepping for the upcoming Stitch Rock which i'm very excited to be part off!!
however, i've been meaning to share my labor day adventure. since i wasn't skipping town i really wanted to do something fun and new. well, i still have tons of exploring to do in Fl and on the bucket list was Big Cypress National Preserve. After much looking about, decided to make a day of it, one of the things was a kayak trip, i was recommended Jenny's Eco Adventures and i must say i had the BEST time. Jenny was very knowledgeable of the area and she was super!! i just clicked with the lady and it was like having a good old time with a buddy, since i left my BF in the back, haha!! here are but a few of the beautiful photos captured...

my new hiking boots!!
 **note** these Keen are fabulous!!!

beautiful sunrise...

the view...it was beautifully quiet with the birds sounds, just lovely...

Jenny and the BF

mangroves....

it was air plant heaven, they were just everywhere and huge beauties..... i need more!!

chilling birdie...

priceless....

of course Fl native, didn't see but just him because the water levels were a bit high due to the rains, but at least got to see one.
Afterward, we went for a small hike at Bend Boardwalk

of course being Fl when we got back the storm that started was classic, so we headed on home. I must say i had a fabulous day and have decided to finally invest on a kayak so i can do it more often because its truly an activity the BF and i enjoy. but for those heading this way on a vacation, this is a must to-do and if you like kayaking check Jenny out, she was a fantastic guide. I'm actually going to do another trip with her to check out the islands on the coast, yay!!!

till next one,
Maria
