plants, soil, pots, gardening and nurseries...

got to love spring!!
i love that during this time the days are beautiful and breezy and the south Fl heat is blasting yet. of course, many of you are well aware that i have been spending my weekends traveling to the Homestead nurseries to gather supplies to improve and beautify my garden. of course my first and all time favorite, had to stop at the bonsai nursery to gather some much needed pots and as always was mesmerized by the beautiful and huge bonsai's

look at them!!! and this is just the side of the nursery... very hard to resist, so i left with a new bonsai, yay!!!

this next place had the most beautiful pond area. they had birdies chirping about (of course sound effect, almost as if you were at Disney), it had a deck,  plus the area was a bit secluded. literally once you entered, not only did you feel the temperature a few degrees cooler, it also seemed peaceful and relaxing. i could have stayed there for a whole afternoon meditating.
like i said beautiful!!!

this saturday i went to this nursery, that specialises in succulents and cacti and let me say they had the most gorgeous arrangements...

and a pretty pond area too... i think it's a trend...

last place i visited on saturday had a small private pond that i thought was just adorable, makes me wish i had a bigger place...

now, i've been repotting all of my bonsai's, moving most of my tree's into bigger pots, changing and putting nutrients to the soil on all. of course with my new aquired skill, am making macrame hangers to many too, so here is a small peak at the work in progress...

my side patio wall unit has gotten quite "plant busy" with the wall climber...

there's the hanger from the macrame class... different pot thou...

love my little blue Buddha

there's the current mess, am about 65% done, but i'll clue you all in as it continues. i also have the front that i'm working on, but it's smaller and there i am at 85%, so not bad.
soooo, what do you all think???

till next one,
Maria
