this piece was inspired by one particular childhood memory
my cousins and I used to go to our neighborhood corner store with all the change we could find to get lots of sugary gum ,the ones with the paper tattoos, we would all get bags full and see who would stick as much gum as possible in our mouths, haha.
those were some fun summer's...
that's why i wanted this piece to be bright and fun
the gnomes were made out of fabric, felt and chenille. their faces hand embroidered and they are holding a clay button popsicle
the popsicles are made of felt on paper straws, hand embroidered and stuffed with polyfill.
wooden base, with various sized spools painted with acrylics and decorated with ribbon. ooh, and can't forget the plastic bow
