DIY Planter Stand...

Hey friends!
As I continue with the home decorating, one thing I've been wanting to do is add more greenery. Unfortunately, my home is quite dark and has limited spaces where I can put real plants that can survive 😬 in addition, my fur baby likes to mark every now and then, unfortunately; Sooo, I limit what I put on the floor.
I got this beauty from Joanne's spring line this year and it looks amazing and I knew I wanted more of this throughout the house.

yes! that's a real plant. But the planter is gorgeous! Then I got this other one at Hobby Lobby.

Yes, faux but it's  in the bathroom and it makes it look so nice.
Well, I got another faux fiddle leave like this one and instead of purchasing another planter with stand I decided to turn this fabulous woven basket into one and here's what I made...

I used to use this basket as a display when I vended under MacuNana and just love it!!! I believe I got it at IKEA a few years ago. Now, since it matches my bedroom and to add to my side of the bed some green, here's what I made.
First off, sorry for the lack of photos but here are the steps, when I do another I'll photograph the process, promise.
I cut a piece a wood, roughly the size of the bottom of the planter and some dowels to the height desired. I screwed them on the base, used a smaller circle to stabilize the legs.

Once steady I spray painted it flat black and screwed the planter to the top. Literally a less than 2 hour project and it looks amazing.

So now you all have a easy and affordable way to have a high planter, I definitely have more ideas brewing, specially when I get to fixing up the outside area. So, what do you think??
