November

Well friends, November is here which means holiday season is officially ON. Many are beginning their holiday shopping, others prepping their shop for the busy season. Others just immediately think Thanksgiving, family gatherings; or a bit of all.
Before all the craziness starts here are some lovely November poems I found.

"November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.

With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.

The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring."
- Elizabeth Coatsworth

"So dull and dark are the November days.
The lazy mist high up the evening curled,
And now the morn quite hides in smoke and haze;
The place we occupy seems all the world."
- John Clare

T hanks for time to be together, turkey, talk, and tangy weather.
H
for harvest stored away, home, and hearth, and holiday.
A
for autumn's frosty art, and abundance in the heart.
N
for neighbors, and November, nice things, new things to remember.
K
for kitchen, kettles' croon, kith and kin expected soon.
S
for sizzles, sights, and sounds, and something special that about.
That spells THANKS for joy in living and a jolly good Thanksgiving.
- Aileen Fisher

Must be a day for poems! I decided to write a poem for my interior design blog called "Why My House Gets Messy". Check it out if you get the chance :-)
